The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 and the drivers driving, 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they pay no attention. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: Aye! and you shall be abject. 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
