The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
