AND, [likewise,] indeed, the people of Al-Hijr gave the lie to [Our] message-bearers: 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 But the Shout seized them in the morning, 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 (Muhammad), We have given you the seven most repeated (verses) and the great Quran. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 for what they have done 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
