Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
