۞ We revealed to Moses: "Set forth with My servants by night for you will be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 "But we are host all assembled, amply forewarned." 56 So We removed them from gardens and springs 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Thus it was, but We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 And when the two bodies saw each other, the people of Moses said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 Then We revealed to Moses, 'Strike with thy staff the sea'; and it clave, and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, all together. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
