Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
