The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. These are the Verses of the Quran, and (it is) a Book (that makes things) clear; 1 it is guidance and good news for the believers 2 Who establish the prayer and give the poor-rate, and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 3 We make their deeds attractive to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, so that they may wander in perplexity. 4 Those are they for whom shall be an evil torment. And in the Hereafter they shall be the greatest losers. 5 Lo! as for thee (Muhammad), thou verily receivest the Qur'an from the presence of One Wise, Aware. 6 (Recount to them) when Moses said to his family: "I perceive something like fire: soon will I bring to you some information from there, or I will bring you a burning brand that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when Moses came to the fire, a call was sounded: "Blessed is He Who is in the fire and whatever is around it. Glory be to Allah, the Sustainer of all in the Universe. 8 O Moses! Lo! it is I, Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 9 "And throw down your stick!" But when he saw it moving as if it were a snake, he turned in flight, and did not look back. (It was said): "O Musa (Moses)! Fear not, verily! The Messengers fear not in front of Me. 10 Except those who do some wrong but afterwards do good to make up for the wrong. And I am forgiving and merciful. 11 Put your hand inside your collar and it will come out luminous without evil? among the nine signs to Pharaoh and his nation, indeed they were an impious nation' 12 When Our miracles were visibly shown to them, they said, "It is plain magic". 13 And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 14
