By no means! By the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 it is one of the greatest trials, 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
