No, by the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 it is a warning to man, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
