Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
