Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
