Can someone to whom We have made a gracious promise and who will see it fulfilled, be compared to someone We have allowed to enjoy a worldly life, awhile, and who will be brought up [before God] for his accounting on the Day of Resurrection? 61 And (remember) the Day when He will call to them, and say: "Where are My (so-called) partners whom you used to assert?" 62 Those against whom the Word will have proved true will say, “Our Lord! These are they whom we led astray; we led them astray the way we ourselves went astray; we are unconcerned with them and we incline towards You – they never worshipped us!” 63 And it will be said (to them): "Call upon your (so-called) partners (of Allah), and they will call upon them, but they will give no answer to them, and they will see the torment. (They will then wish) if only they had been guided! 64 (God) will ask them on that day: "What answer did you give the apostles?" 65 Then the (whole) story that Day will seem obscure to them (like light to the blind) and they will not be able (even) to question each other. 66 Howbeit, whosoever shall repent and believe, and work righteous works - belike he shall be of the thrivers. 67 Your Lord creates what He wills and chooses. The good is not for them to choose. Too holy and high is God for what they associate with Him. 68 And your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they manifest. 69 He is God: there is no god but Him. All Praise is due to Him in this world and the hereafter. His is the Judgement and to Him you shall be returned. 70 Say: 'Think! What if Allah should enshroud you in unceasing night till the Day of Resurrection, what god, other than Allah, shall bring you light! Will you not hear?' 71 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Tell me! If Allah made day continuous for you till the Day of Resurrection, who is an ilah (a god) besides Allah who could bring you night wherein you rest? Will you not then see?" 72 And out of His mercy He made for you the night and the day that you may rest therein and [by day] seek from His bounty and [that] perhaps you will be grateful. 73 And [warn of] the Day He will call them and say, "Where are my 'partners' which you used to claim?" 74 And We shall single out one witness from each community and say: "Bring your proof." Then will they know that God's is the judgement, and what they contrived will avail them not in the least. 75
