NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 When the two receiving angels receive from him, one seated on the right and one on the left. 17 Not a word he uttereth but there is with him a watcher ready. 18 The trance of death will come revealing the truth: that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 Each soul will come with a driver and a witness. 21 “You were indeed neglectful of this, so We have removed the veil for you, and your eyesight is sharp this day.” 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 (They will be told,) "Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers, 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 Who set up with Allah another god. So cast him ye twain into the torment severe. 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 "Do not argue in My presence. I had announced the promise of doom in advance. 28 The sentence that cometh from Me cannot be changed, and I am in no wise a tyrant unto the slaves. 29
