Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
WE HAVE GIVEN you a splendent victory 1 so that God may forgive you your past and future sins and complete His favour to you and guide you to a straight path, 2 And that Allah may succour thee with a mighty succour. 3 He it is Who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they might increase belief unto their belief. And Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth and Allah is ever Knowing, Wise. 4 That He may admit the believing men and the believing women to Gardens under which rivers flow (i.e. Paradise), to abide therein forever, and to expiate from them their sins, and that is with Allah, a supreme success, 5 and that He might punish the hypocrites and the idolaters, both men and women, and those who think evil thoughts of Allah. An evil turn (of fortune) will befall them. The Wrath of Allah is on them, and He has cursed them and prepared for them Gehenna (Hell), an evil arrival! 6 To God belong the armies of the heavens and the earth. God is Majestic and All-wise. 7 We have sent you forth as a witness and a bearer of good tidings and a warner, 8 so that you believe in Allah and His Messenger and that you support him, revere him (Prophet Muhammad), and exalt Him (Allah), at the dawn and in the evening. 9 Those who swear fealty to thee swear fealty in truth to God; God's hand is over their hands. Then whosoever breaks his oath breaks it but to his own hurt; and whoso fulfils his covenant made with God, God will give him a mighty wage. 10
