Seest thou one who turns back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
