Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 And therein raising dust. 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
