Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Surely We are able to reform even his finger-tips. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 Knowing that they will be subjected to a torment that breaks the backs. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 (the angels of mercy or the angels of wrath,)" then, he will realize that it is time to leave this world. 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
