The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the midday brightness 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
Almighty Allah's Truth.
