A Sign for them is the earth that is dead: We do give it life, and produce grain therefrom, of which ye do eat. 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 that they might eat of its fruits and their hands' labour. What, will they not be thankful? 35 Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. 36 And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness. 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 how We ordained the moon to pass through certain phases until it seems eventually to be like a bent twig; 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship. 41 And We have created for them the like of it in which they board. 42 If it were Our will, We could drown them: then there would be no helper [to hear their cry], nor could they be saved. 43 Unless by Our benevolence, to reap advantage for a time. 44 Whenever they are told to guard themselves against sin and the forth coming torment so that perhaps they could receive mercy 45 and whenever a revelation out of their Lord's revelations comes to them, they ignore it. 46 And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)? Ye are in nothing but manifest error." 47 The unbelievers say, "When will the Day of Judgment come if what you say is at all true?" 48 They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! 49 No (chance) will they then have, by will, to dispose (of their affairs), nor to return to their own people! 50
