Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 "Then, O my Lord! put me not amongst the people who do wrong!" 94 Assuredly, We are able to show thee that We promise them. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 O my Lord, I seek refuge in You lest they attend me' 98 Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 Then, when the trumpet [of resurrection] is blown, no ties of kinship will on that Day prevail among them, and neither will they ask about one another. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 Our Lord! Take us out of this. Then if we revert (to evil-doing) we shall indeed be wrongdoers." 107 He shall say: Go away into it and speak not to Me; 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. 111 He will say: how long tarried ye on the earth in number of year? 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 "Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 And (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) say, “My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, and You are the Best of all the Merciful. 118
