T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 And when he reached it, he was called by name: O Moses! 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
