Al-Dukhaan 3 of 3
The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 Is food for the sinful. 44 Like molten copper boiling in the belly 45 as boiling water bubbles. 46 “Seize him and drag him to the middle of the Blazing Fire, 47 Then pour upon his head the torment of boiling water. 48 (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! 49 Lo! this is that whereof ye used to doubt. 50 [As against this] verily, the God-conscious will find themselves in a state secure, 51 amidst gardens and fountains, 52 They shall wear of fine and thick silk, (sitting) face to face; 53 Even so; and We shall espouse them to wide-eyed houris, 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 They shall not taste therein of death, save the first death, And He shall guard them against the chastisement of Hell -- 56 As a Bounty from your Lord! That will be the supreme success! 57 We have made this Quran easy to understand, in your own language, so that they may take heed. 58 So watch, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end]. 59
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
