Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
