Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). 2 laboring, wornout, 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Made to drink from a boiling spring. 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 In a Garden on high, 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 And cushions set in a row, 15 And carpets spread out. 16 So do they not see the camel how it has been created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 Then remind them! Thou art only a reminder; 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Indeed, to Us is their return. 25 Ours is surely then to reckon with them. 26
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
