In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 who taught by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 A votary when he turns to his devotions? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah beholdeth? 14 Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, 15 By the lying, the sinful forelock. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
