By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 [But,] then, that [Last Hour] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry 13 And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
