Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
