Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 Faces on that Day shall be downcast, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 In an elevated garden, 10 where they will hear no idle talk, 11 with a flowing spring, 12 In which are high thrones. 13 well arranged goblets, 14 and cushions arrayed in rows, 15 and well spread carpets. 16 Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed, 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
