T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
