So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 And We vouchsafed unto them signs wherein was a manifest favour. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 "After we die, we shall never be raised to life again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals. 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
