The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the pages are made public 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the breath of morning 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
