Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
