Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 Will ye not then receive admonition? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So you and your deities 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 Then, when it descends into their courtyard (i.e. near to them), evil will be the morning for those who had been warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace upon the messengers. 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
