Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
