Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
