And recount to them the story of Abraham: 69 When he said to his father and his people: What do you worship? 70 They said: We worship idols, and are ever devoted unto them. 71 He said: Do they hear you when you call? 72 or can they benefit or harm you?" 73 They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus." 74 He said: "Do ye then see whom ye have been worshipping,- 75 You and your ancient forefathers? 76 are my enemies? Not so the Lord of the Universe. 77 who has created me and is the One who guides me, 78 and Himself gives me to eat and drink, 79 “And when I fall ill, so it is He Who heals me.” 80 Who will make me die, then give me life again, 81 and whom I am eager shall forgive me my sins on the Day of Recompense' 82 My Lord! Vouchsafe me wisdom and unite me to the righteous. 83 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity 84 And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure. 85 And forgive my father; verily he is of the erring. 86 and disgrace me not on the Day when people will be raised to life, 87 The day on which property will not avail, nor sons 88 Except him who comes to Allah with a heart free (from evil). 89 And the Garden will be brought nigh for those who ward off (evil). 90 And hell will appear plainly to the erring. 91 They will be asked: "Where are those you worshipped 92 other than Allah? Do they help you or even help themselves' 93 Then the idols and those who strayed will be hurled into the Fire headlong, one upon another, 94 and the hosts of iblis all together. 95 They shall say, as they dispute there one with another, 96 'By Allah, we were certainly in clear error, 97 when we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds. 98 "'And our seducers were only those who were steeped in guilt. 99 so now we have no intercessors, 100 "'Nor a single friend to feel (for us). 101 Would that we might return again, and be among the believers' 102 In this there is evidence (of the truth), but many of them do not have any faith. 103 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
