Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Sure Reality! 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false. 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 And as for 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind; 6 which He let loose upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession; so that (if you had been there) you might have seen people lying prostrate, as though they were uprooted trunks of hollowed palm trees. 7 So do you see any survivor among them? 8 And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin. 9 and rebelled against their Lord's Messenger. So He took them with a stern taking. 10 Indeed when the water swelled up, We boarded you onto the ship. 11 so that We might make it an instructive event for you, and retentive ears might preserve its memory. 12 So when the Trumpet will be blown, with a sudden single blow. 13 And the earth and the mountains shall be borne and the twain shall be crushed with a single crash. 14 on that Day shall that indubitable event come to pass; 15 And the sky will be rent asunder, for on that Day it will be so frail. 16 And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them. 17 On that Day you will be brought to judgement and none of your secrets will remain hidden. 18 Then as to him who will be vouchsafed his book in his right hand, he shall say: here! read my book! 19 Behold, I did know that [one day] I would have to face my account! 20 So he shall be in a life of pleasure, 21 in a lofty garden, 22 The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near. 23 [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past." 24 And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! 25 And I had not known what my account was: 26 Oh, would that this [death of mine] had been the end of me! 27 My wealth has not availed me. 28 and my authority has vanished.” 29 The angels will be told, "Seize and chain them, 30 Then into Hellfire drive him. 31 and then thrust him into a chain [of other sinners like him - a chain] the length whereof is seventy cubits: 32 Behold, he never believed in God the All-mighty, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 Therefor hath he no lover here this day, 35 Nor any food save filthy corruption. 36 which only the sinners eat". 37
