The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and brightening morning, 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
