Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 And of no avail to them was all that they did (with such art and care)! 84 We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 and who have broken the Scripture into fragments -- 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 Of what they used to do. 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
