Seest thou not that We have set the devils on the disbelievers to confound them with confusion? 83 So hasten thou not against them; We are only counting against them a counting. 84 The Day will surely come when We shall gather the God-fearing like [honoured] guests before the Compassionate God 85 And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd, 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 And they say, 'The All-merciful has taken unto Himself a son. 88 Surely, you have brought a monstrous thing! 89 The heavens are wellnigh rent of it and the earth split asunder, and the mountains wellnigh fall down crashing for 90 to ascribe a son to the Beneficent God. 91 But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children). 92 None is there in the heavens and earth but he comes to the All-merciful as a servant; 93 He knows their number and has counted each one of them. 94 and every one of them will appear before Him on Resurrection Day in a lonely state. 95 The Lord of Mercy will bestow affection upon those who believe and perform righteous deeds. 96 (Muhammad), We have given you the Book (the Quran) in your own language so that you could easily give the glad news to the pious ones and warn the quarrelsome ones. 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Perceivest thou of them anyone or hear of them a whisper? 98
