54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ha'. Mim. 1 THE BESTOWAL from on high [of this revelation] issues from the Most Gracious, the Dispenser of Grace: 2 A Book the verses of which are explained in detail, the Qur’an in Arabic for people of intellect. 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Say: 'I am only a mortal, like you are. To me it has been revealed that your God is One God; so go straight with Him, and ask for His forgiveness; and woe to the idolaters 6 Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
