Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And by whatsoever you see not, 39 Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Apostle, 40 It is not the word of a poet: little it is ye believe! 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer -- how little you reflect! 42 This is the Revelation sent down from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 43 Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us, 44 We should certainly seize him by his right hand, 45 Then would have cut off his heart’s artery. 46 And none of you could withhold Us from (punishing) him. 47 And indeed this Qur’an is an advice for the pious. 48 And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it). 49 and (on the Day of Judgment) this will be a great source of regret for the unbelievers. 50 it is the indubitable truth. 51 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty. 52
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
