Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 He said, “You are an unfamiliar people.” 62 They said, "But we have come to you with that about which they were disputing, 63 And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. 64 So travel with thy household in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs. Let none of you turn round, but go whither ye are commanded. 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 [Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. 68 Have fear of God and do not humiliate me". 69 They said, "Did we not forbid you to extend hospitality to strangers?" 70 He said, “These women of our tribe are my daughters, if you have to.” 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them at the time of sunrise; 73 We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them. 74 There are great Signs in this for those endowed with intelligence. 75 And indeed that township is upon a road still in use. 76 Lo! therein is indeed a portent for believers. 77 The dwellers of the Thicket were harmdoers. 78 So We took vengeance on them. And verily both are on a high-road open. 79
