The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 Nay, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)! ۩ 19
