Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know what you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
