Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light; 61 And it is He Who made the Night and the Day to follow each other: for such as have the will to celebrate His praises or to show their gratitude. 62 And the servants of the Beneficent Allah are they who walk on the earth in humbleness, and when the ignorant address them, they say: Peace. 63 They are those who spend the night worshipping their Lord, prostrating, and standing, 64 And they who say: O our Lord! turn away from us the punishment of hell, surely the punishment thereof is a lasting 65 It is indeed an evil halt and an evil abode;" 66 who, when they expend, are neither prodigal nor parsimonious, but between that is a just stand; 67 And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. 68 and on the Day of Judgment their torment will be double. They will suffer forever in disgrace. 69 Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, for those, Allah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 70 and whosoever repents, and does righteousness, he truly turns to God in repentance. 71 And those who do not give false evidence, and if they come across unbecoming talk ignore it and pass by in a sedate way; 72 And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind. 73 who say, "Lord, grant us joy in our wives and children and make us a model for the righteous." 74 These shall be rewarded with high places because they were patient, and shall be met therein with greetings and salutations. 75 Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence. 76 Say (to the Rejecters): "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!" 77
