Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). 2 Does man assume that We will never assemble his bones? 3 Yea! WE are Able to put together evenly his finger-tips. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 for, behold, it is for Us to gather it [in thy heart,] and to cause it to be read [as it ought to be read]. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
