And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Allah] before [that time], so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great flood. 76 And We succoured him against the people who belied Our signs; verily they were a people evil, so we drowned them all. 77 And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field - when the sheep of a people overran it [at night], and We were witness to their judgement. 78 So We made Sulaiman to understand it; and to each one We gave wisdom and knowledge; and We made the mountains, and the birds to celebrate Our praise with Dawood; and We were the doers. 79 We taught him the art of making coats of mail for you, to protect you in battle. Will you then give thanks? 80 And to Solomon the wind, strongly blowing, that ran at his command unto the land that We had blessed; and We had knowledge of everything; 81 And of the satans were some who dove for him, and worked a work beside that; and of them We were the Watchers. 82 ۞ And (remember) Job, when He cried to his Lord, "Truly distress has seized me, but Thou art the Most Merciful of those that are merciful." 83 So We answered his call, and We removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his family to him (that he had lost), and the like thereof along with them, as a mercy from Ourselves and a Reminder for all who worship Us. 84 And Ishmael, Idris, and ThulKifl (the son of Job) each were patient. 85 And We admitted them into Our mercy; indeed they are among those who deserve Our proximity. 86 And Zun-nun! recall what time he departed in anger and imagined that We could not straiten him, then he cried in the darknesses, that: there is no god but Thou! hallowed be Thou! verily I have been of the wrong-doers. 87 Then we heard his prayer and saved him from the anguish. Thus we save believers. 88 And (remember) Zakariya (Zachariah), when he cried to his Lord: "O My Lord! Leave me not single (childless), though You are the Best of the inheritors." 89 So We heard his prayer and bestowed John upon him and made his wife fit to bear him a child. They used to hasten to do good and they called on Us in hope and fear, and they were always humble towards Us. 90 And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity, so We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds. 91 Verily this community of yours is a single community, and I am your Lord; so worship Me. 92 But they have broken up and differed as regards their religion among themselves. (And) they all shall return to Us. 93
