A multitude of those of old 39 and a throng of the later folk. 40 And the fellows on the left hand; how miserable shall the fellows on the left hand be! 41 mid burning winds and boiling waters 42 And in the shadow of a burning smoke. 43 neither cool, neither goodly; 44 Surely they had lived before in luxury, 45 And used to persist in the awful sin. 46 And they used to say: "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected? 47 and perhaps, too, our forebears of old?" 48 Say: "Yea, those of old and those of later times, 49 Shall most surely be gathered together for the appointed hour of a known day. 50 Then you, the erring ones and those that gave the lie to the Truth, 51 Will be eating from trees of zaqqum 52 And will fill your bellies therewith; 53 And upon it, you will drink the hot boiling water. 54 "Indeed ye shall drink like diseased camels raging with thirst!" 55 That will be their entertainment on the Day of Recompense! 56 We have created you, why do you not then assent? 57 Have you considered the seed you spill? 58 Do you create it, or We are its creator? 59 We have decreed among you Death; We shall not be outstripped; 60 In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know. 61 You have known the first creation, then why do you not reflect? 62 Ponder upon the soil you till, 63 Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth? 64 If We will We can make it like dry trampled hay, so you would keep crying out. 65 Verily we are undone. 66 Nay, but we are deprived! 67 Did you cast a good look at the water that you drink? 68 Did you send it down from the clouds, or did We send it? 69 Had We wanted, We could have made it salty. Why then do you not give thanks? 70 Have you thought about the fire you kindle? 71 Is it you who have produced its tree or is it We who have produced it? 72 It is We who have made it a means to remind [you of Us,] and a comfort for all who are lost and hungry in the wilderness [of their lives]. 73 So glorify your Lord, the most supreme. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
