Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Night as it conceals (the light); 1 and the day in splendour 2 And by oath of the One Who created the male and the female. 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 As for him who gives and is godfearing 5 and believes in the finest, 6 We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). 7 But as for him who is niggardly, and thinks that he is self-sufficient, 8 And denies the best [reward], 9 Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. 10 And his substance will avail him not when he perisheth. 11 Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 [the fire] which none shall have to endure but that most hapless wretch 15 who denied [the truth], and turned away. 16 And avoid it shall the most pious, 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 and he shall surely be satisfied. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
